1.1.3 Jailbreak Released

Cre.ations.net has posted the first iPhone 1.1.3 jailbreak. This will allow you to jailbreak your iPod Touch running firmware 1.1.3. The process is quite simple but not has easy as the JailbreakMe method for previous software versions.

To Jailbreak your iPhone and iPod Touch….
- Start with a 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 jailbroken phone with Installer.app installed.
- Plug in your phone via USB to your computer.
- Download, extract, and run iBrickr Special 1.1.3 jailbreak edition (ibrickr.exe in the archive).
- iBrickr will determine what firmware you are running on your phone and make sure you can run the update.
- iBrickr will then guide you through the process of obtaining and modifying the 1.1.3 firmware (make sure to read everything thoroughly).
- iBrickr will upload the new firmware image to your phone. Note that this only puts the file on your phone and does not modify it at all, yet.
- When iBrickr finishes (should take about 10 minutes), it will tell you to go to Installer and install the “1.1.3 soft upgrade” package. Do that.
- When the installer finishes (this should take another 10-15 minutes), your phone should reboot with a fresh activated 1.1.3 firmware.
This will update your iPod touch completely to 1.1.3 and the iPod will have the iPhone like dock, and 1.1.3 is the only way to have your iPod Touch play iTunes rented movies. It has not been confirmed of how well this jailbreak will work with the $20 upgrade for the iPod Touch, but it is shown in the provided image. So with the jailbreak and the $20 upgrade via Apple you will have all the iPhone apps as long with the ability to add webclips and move icons.

Ive done exactly this yesterday but the $20 pack does not copy and instead gives a copy. Most apps work though so I’m just waiting till someone fixes the Jan Update bug.
This hack only work on the iPhone. Change the misleading title!
No it worked on my iPod touch fine! It just says iPhone because that is the main one users want to know if it is hackable. But yeah it worked on my perfectly
Yes this does in fact work. I did this to my iPod back on Wednesday actually. I’m surprised you guys are this far behind. But anyways, it seemed to be working on but I really didn’t like the way some of it flowed. So, I downgraded back to 1.1.1 and then upgraded to 1.1.2.
