2nd Generation iPod Touch Will Work With Microphone
Posted on September 15th, 2008 in VOIP, iPod Touch, iPod accessories |
After all of the buzz from last week the rumors are settling down and the aftermath is starting to kick in. At the 2008 Lets Rock event Steve Jobs took the stage and announced many new things. Some of the overlooked things were the new headphone coming out next moth.

These new headphones have a built in mike that were demonstrated on the iPod Nano for recording voice notes. But a MacRumors forum user has confirmed that it will in-fact work on the iPod Touch.
We had previously reported that Apple’s new microphone headsets were listed to be compatible with the 2nd Generation iPod Touch, although we had initially expressed some skepticism as this feature was not listed in any other location.
Allowing users to conveniently add an external microphone to the iPod touch opens up the possibility of using the iPod Touch as a telephone over Wi-Fi connections (VOIP).

I have. Itouch idownloaded itallk the microphone doesn’t work
how does it look and work
where can i find pics
where to buy
The Apple produced earbuds + microphone don’t work on the iPod Touch with Fring (probably by design). There is apparently an earbud+mic set that does work on the iPod Touch 2nd gen from touchmic.com, though.. It’s also cheaper than Apple’s version. I haven’t used it yet, but the demo seems convincing enough that I am buying a set.
I have the mic from touchmic.com….it works perfectly
Go to there website and order one
