We are now less than 24 hours away from the Apple Lets Rock Event. Apple is expected to update their iPod Nano and iPod Touch line with overall design changes. The iPod Touch is rumored to receive a design similar to the tapered edges of the iPhone 3G. SlashGear will be doing live coverage at http://live.slashgear.com

Also expected at this event is iTunes 8 which is rumored to be a dramatic update deserving of its new number. There is rumored to be a Genius tool that will recommend music by looking through the music you like (similar to Pandora Radio) and a new  Magnetosphere  visualizer.

People are also reporting that Apple is telling reporters that this event will be a “big deal” and urging them to come.  Although this may be just to gain hype, this is very unusual for Apple to say.
