Apple-Touch Review: Paul Frank’s Rubber Case for iPod Touch
Posted on March 5th, 2008 in Review, iPod Touch, iPod Touch Cases, iPod accessories |
I recently snagged an iPod Touch and found myself in the search of a shiny new case. I have long envied the line of Paul Frank cases so I knew roughly what I wanted. Luckily, the Apple Store had plenty in supply and let me take them all out of the boxes to decide which one I preferred.
They had four different styles there, the one shown here, a style with a bass guitar on the back, one with multicolored polka dots and a fourth showing cute little skulls with crossbones. I took each one out and found that although I loved the look of the bass guitar its outline bubbled up so much I knew it would drive me crazy (the same issue with the skulls and crossbones one as well). In the end I decided that I wanted one with a more flush back and chose the monkey.

I also loved the contrast of the red to black. My one complaint about the cases is that the rubber likes to catch and turn my pockets inside out when I’m trying to get it out of one. That aside I love the durability of it and that it keeps all areas clear so I can easily plug it in with the case still on. All four of their cases are being sold for $29.95. Three of the four can be found on Apple’s online store. I have included pictures to show the thickness and that it keeps the spots to plug in completely clear. You’ll have to excuse the gaming references on the front, I’m a bit of a dork.
