The Urban Institute has decided to raise the question, has the iPod caused a full out crime wave? It is possible, anyone owning an iPod knows the risk that comes with it. Apparently as Apple’s sales of the iPod have increased so has the robbery rate.
I recently snagged an iPod Touch and found myself in the search of a shiny new case. I have long envied the line of Paul Frank cases so I knew roughly what I wanted. Luckily, the Apple Store had plenty in supply and let me take them all out of the boxes to decide which one I preferred.
Today while in the mall snagging my MacBook from the Apple Store after some much needed repairs, I needed to check on my finances. Which meant of course, I whip out my handy dandy iPod and take a look at my Paypal. Only to come home and see that Paypal is warning users against doing exactly that.
For some getting an iPod Touch might still be just out of their price range and frankly, it was going to be pushing it a bit for me as well. However, today I finally decided I was going to get one no matter what the price. I knew the online prices and frankly I was too impatient to wait a whole week or so to get a refurbished one that is priced at $249 instead of the usual $299.
Although most iPod users try to get the sleekest of cases, hugging every curve of their iPod, there are a few out there that still prefer the slightly bulkier cases. I’m not completely sure in the point of that, after all you have just paid big money to get the sleek and stylish iPod. Which begs the question, why on earth add bulk to it?
If you can’t handle all those mainstream speakers, just your average everyday speakers, then this Lego version might be better suited for you. I know that many have never quite let go of their fascination with Legos so having one of these lying about is one way to pretend to be an adult while still being a kid at heart.
If you can’t rest until you have the smallest earphones money can buy then Klipsch has the earphones for you. Known for their high quality craftsmanship, they now claim to have the lightest and the smallest in the world.
If you haven’t found that earthy iPod Touch case you’re looking for well then maybe this wooden one is just the thing. I personally was ecstatic to find a wooden iPod case, now I have something to match my wooden shoes.
For a few moments after coming across Paul Frank’s new iPod cases I was completely speechless. Jaw dropped I was horrified over the pure lack of aesthetic appeal. Usually I’m all for Paul Frank’s quirky accessories, however, I found myself deeply disappointed by this new Neapolitan iPod Case and the Woodgrain iPod Case.
The iPod Touch like so many gadgets before it has been officially smothered in crystals. Putting it on the long list of gadgets customized to be shiny. I’m not really sure what the fascination with covering gadgets in Swarvoski crystals is, but apparently Selfridges felt it needed to be done.
