I was always told that money talks, and bullshit runs marathons, so its no surprise that when Vincent put up 10,000 credits for the forums-based points system that translates into money at the Apple-Touch store, there were people willing to risk bricking their iPod Touches just to jailbreak them. We are still expecting some more proof and hopefully a step by step guide of how they did it, but there are more than the standard Springboard apps on their Springboard, and the screens from both gentleman’s iPod Touches say iPod in the upper corner and lack the cellular icons.

Apple is far less stingy about who makes accessories for their devices than most companies, which has led to some seriously weird accessories apple ipod touch casesfor previous iterations of the iPod. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing as most of those accessories did serve some sort of function. With the iPod Touch, the stylish device that it is, you can be sure that there will be tons of cases made, likely starting at the lower end with uber-generic cases that look like crap but cover the iPod Touch’s screen, then going up to more fashionable, and functional cases from the likes of Belkin. I suspect the iPod Touch will even be blessed with cases from such high end, quality product manufacturers as Prada, Fendi, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton.
