Copy and Paste in iPod Touch Firmware 2.1?

The new iPhone Beta Firmware was released to some developers on Thursday, July 24th. In this beta there was many new interesting features for the iPhone and its location services. However, the long anticipated Copy/Paste feature may be hidden in there as well…

One notes that in exploring the Localizable.strings entry under English.lproj in the current iPhone WebKit framework, there are entries for several commands the firmware does not currently support, including cutting, copying and pasting.
Recently Apple’s Greg Joswiak said that a copy/paste feature has not been in the top of the iPhone’ priority list so far, but, it could be implemented in the future. A few weeks back a Apple engineer had revealed that this process was in the works but the exact implementation had not been decided on.
Ever since the release of iPod Touch and iPod Version 2.0 a copy and paste feature has been highly needed. Many apps would flourish if such a feature was introduced. These apps would include WordPress and other blogging and web type Apps.

Ok well I updated my Ipod Touch from the 2.0 firmware to this. I got an error and it sent my Ipod into recovery mode. Now the Ipod thinks it’s an Iphone, and it wont let me install the 2.0 firmware and any later firmwares. I’m PISSED!
