HWPen: A Handwriting Recognition App for iPod Touch

A Modmyifone forum post possibly reveals a beta version of the handwriting recognition. The application used is called HWPen which is for jailbroken iPhones and iPod Touches.
It was developed by the companyHanwang.com.cn are seems similar to how the Newton used handwriting recognition. It appears to be the same software available for Palm devices.
As of now it appears the recognition needs some tweaking when it come to Western characters because it was designed to be used with the chinese language, but is expected to get some minor updates in the near future.

OMG this is awesome i downloaded it, works great, another way to show off your iPod Touch… but you can tell it is made for chinese lettering lol
It does not work on the iPod Touch. Only on the iPhone. When uninstalling I had to do a hard boot to restore. Your record on these applications isnt very good. Pretty lousy really.
i installed HWPenn on my ipod touch it messed up my screen to a blinking zebra stripes was so scary also did not show any ware on my notes seems like it is not working with ipod touch….beware!
