Today Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO took the stage in California and showed the world what their music lineup would be like for this holiday season. They released a new Nano that was spot on with rumors as well as a new iPod Touch.

Also as predicted the new iPod Touch took the iPhone 3G’s form factor. However they also made this Touch even thinner than the last model and made it feel better in your hands.
The best improvements to the Touch are the “Speaker” and the volume controls on the side. This speaker isn’t the best (meant for in game sounds) but does not sound trashy even though there are no holes for sound. The volume toggle is also similar to the iPhone 3G and was one of the most wanted features in the Touch.

Good direction, still not enough for me to go from my 32gb iPod Touch. I am waiting for 64gb.
Bugger.. still no GPS or Bluetooth.
The Nike hardware integration radio is Bluetooth, but it is locked for this application only [for now?].
Don’t forget the new mic on the updated optional headphones. this will be big for the VOIP apps. The total solution effectively gives you a speakerphone VOIP capability.
Too bad I got my 32GB Touch only 2 months ago, I have to resort to hacks and gimmicks to get a mic running on my touch, ridiculous.
