iPod Touch given non-slip grippy bottom

Sean Bonner had an expensive mishap in a taxi where he lost his precious iPod Touch - damn thing just slip-slided its way out of his pocket without him even realising. And knowing that it was just the sort of thing that would happen to him again (with the replacement, of course), he took a trip down to his nearest Apple Store to pick up a case with slightly more friction. As many iPod Touch owners have found, however, while there are plenty of iPhone accessories like that, the newness of the Touch means it’s tricky to get them in-store (though obviously places like our very own iPod Touch Accessory Store have plenty to choose from!) so Sean, being a DIY sort of guy, crafted his own solution with some skateboard grip tape.

Now some of you might shy away from sticking high-texture sticky tape onto the back of your shiny PMP, but in Sean’s (admittedly not all too stringent) tests it works pretty well:
“In the hour since I did this the iPod hasn’t slipped at all. Actually it hasn’t moved at all. It’s been sitting on my bed without being touched, so perhaps that isn’t the best road test. It definitely doesn’t feel like it’s going to slip, though it might wear a hole in my pocket or sand off my finger prints” Sean Bonner

Ha, it might very well sand off his finger prints. Not a bad solution, all things considered.
Great idea.
Since I 1/2 wraped my TV remote in fuzzy-gray- water-pipe insulation tubing it has passed “The Drop Test” about 10 times !
Don’t drop your non-slip iTouch Sean.
Looks kinda wierd…
Just keep it in a case when you have it in your pocket.
Or put your hand in your pocket.
that’s nice.it’s not gonna slip when you are putting this on fabric.tilt it till 85 degrees, still stick on!
it definatly wont fall out of your pocket with griptape on it thats for sure…well that is until it wears a hole in your pocket…which it will, grip tape wears holes through solid leather shoes itll definatly ruin your pants once you start pulling out and putting it in your pocket.
