Apple promised us that we would see the iPod Touch hit stores in a couple of weeks (Sept 28, 2007). Well, don’t look for it to be out for another two weeks (I specified another day/date in the unboxing video, mistakenly). However, I’ve already gotten our hands on one.

As you can see, the iPod Touch every bit as awesome looking as the iPhone. It’s very similar, with a few changes such as the color of the back, it’s much thinner and the lack of speaker and mic for starters.
I’ve gotten it out, charged up and begun to play with it. We’ll post a full review once I’ve had the opportunity to give it a good workout.

hey, how did you actually get one before the actual release?
Apple is known to ship extremely limited quantities of new products out to “select” stores. I guess I was just lucky to be in the right place at the right time to get one.
Where do you live? Perhaps try giving your local Apple store a call if there is one in your town.
My business partner tried calling all the stores in the Dallas, TX area and was told they won’t have any iPod Touch until Sept 28. Boo!

The Ipod Touch doesn’t have a built in camera which is a major downside.

All I to know if it can be hacked liked the iphone to add apps. I think removing the notes apps from the ipod sucked.
