Apple has now released 2.0.1 that was seeded to developers last month. This update contains the very vague description of “Bug Fixes”. Could this finially bring the stability to the iPod Touch after the 2.0 upgrade. We do not know as of yet but we will find out soon.

However, this is a fairly large download (242 mb), which hints at a lot of overall fixes and updates. If you have upgraded and have found new stability or new bug fixes let us know in the comments and we will keep you updated as soon as we figure out what it is all about.

I do not intend to update right now, since I’ll lose all my hacked staff.
After updating my iPod Touch 32 Go with the 2.0 version, I experienced a very slow and tedious process when I was typing (and entering) any message, code, character, … with the keyboard on the touchscreen.
With this 2.0.1 update, the problem seems to be solved and typing is as reactive as before.
my ipod touch has caused my win xp to crash when plugged in for sync. I found out that it had something to do with a screenshot that was saved on the ipod (i’m not even sure how that happened cause I don’t remember doing it…irrelevant though). i deleted the picture and it plugged in fine. although now a bunch of apps seem to have disappeared from the ipod.
i also noticed a lag in typing lately. hopefully the update fixes the bugs (will get back to you, i have not installed it yet)
On my iPod touch, 2.0.1 has fixed the most annoying problems with 2.0… mostly, the delays in typing and (especially) in using the contacts app. A few aspects of the operation still seem a little buggy, but I have not tried to sync or update any apps since I ran the update.
Updated to 2.01 - lost wireless access. I can see networks, but trying to connect to them is about as useless as jumping to reach the moon.

you are a fucking idiot…
its so big because its the entire firmware, not just an update to the old firmware
please try to be less retarded, also, from reading your other articles on here, you might want to start spell checking/re-reading some of your articles before you post them.
otherwise, i am glad to see the site is still going, too bad the forums went to shit though
