JiWire announced on Tuesday that members of the JiWire Wi-Fi Advertising Network are offering iPod touch users the option to connect to Wi-Fi networks for free in exchange for viewing a JiWire-supplied advertisements.
This will be available in Wi-Fi hotspots located in airports, hotels, cafes, and around the world. So far the airports supported include Atlanta-Hartsfield, JFK and LaGuardia in New York and Chicago’s O’Hare. The revenue they get by placing ads in the experience will give them the funds to operate more than 100,000 hotspots worldwide.
They are the first of many possible company’s to offer a service like this because of the devices portability and popularity. So now you will have internet in airports and any other popular public places free just with a few extra ads which is well worth the price
