July 11 3G iPhone release, The highest priced iPhone will be the same amount as the lowest price iPod Touch
Posted on June 9th, 2008 in iPod Touch |

Yes it is true, today Apple announced the release of the 3G iPhone in June. The phone will be set at $199 for the 8gb model and $299 for the 16 GB model. These are around $100 dollar less to their “Little Brothers”. This could mean there might be a great drop in iPod Touch prices, because many people wanted a touch could by an iPhone for cheaper and hack it to make it work with out a plan. More details on this in the future.

true, but you must authorize/unlock a Phone at the store by which you are chained to a contract a ATT at the point of purchase–or no Phone. Look, 3G is still slower than WiFi, so with what’s all the hype? I still say the Touch is a better deal.
suedeheaf, I agree with you if we see people that don’t want to move to another carrier, or people that don’t want to monthy pay a 2 year contract (my case). I want this 3G, but under my calculation it should be a very expensive 3g after 2 year. We need to think twice, but Thanks Steves for the release.
i was thinkin abt the touch price drop too… well it was said tht att is payin for som amount of the price tht the iphone costs (som couple mill loss they willin to take) in return gettin more customs with their contracts… but then again who knows wat they thinkin. lol i hoping for the price cut still. wat unuh think?
