For some getting an iPod Touch might still be just out of their price range and frankly, it was going to be pushing it a bit for me as well. However, today I finally decided I was going to get one no matter what the price. I knew the online prices and frankly I was too impatient to wait a whole week or so to get a refurbished one that is priced at $249 instead of the usual $299.

This of course was for the 8GB iPod. Which meant that instead of waiting I made my way to Best Buy, followed by Circuit City just double checking to see if there wasn’t some kind of sale. I found them both to be the same and was getting ready to ask for one to be unlocked, when a very helpful salesperson came along.

Apparently they had two open box iPods, now typically I’m not a huge fan of open box but I thought I’d check out the deal anyway. It turns out that Circuit City is selling open box 8GB iPod Touches for $219. If you don’t mind the fact that it comes with no box then you might want to keep an eye out on Circuit City to see if your local one happens to get any.
