Nationwide launch iPod Touch-compatible Internet Banking
Posted on December 10th, 2007 in iPhone, iPod Touch, third-party software |
UK bank Nationwide have announced today that they’ve formatted their internet banking site so as to be directly compatible with the Safari browser on the iPod Touch and iPhone. Apparently that gives the organisation the heady title of “UK financial services organisation open to the widest range of browser formats”, likely to be good news to the 37-percent of UK adults who regularly use an online banking service.

Ironically, you’d probably more need the ability to check the contents of your account before going to buy the iPod, rather than after it.
Do you have an iPod Touch or an iPhone as well as an account with the Nationwide Building Society? We’d love to see screenshots of just how adapted their online banking is to the mobile Safari interface…
