Today (December 5) Google released a new user interface with their site for use on these devices. This interface give you access via tabs to all of Google’s mobile web applications.

This requires no special downloads or even a jailbreak. It is simply just there when you log onto Google with your device. Some of the main features include Search, Gmail, Reader, and more. Some of the More features include Documents and all of the other mobile solutions made by Google.
Many sites have been recently updating their sites for use with these breakthrough devices. This will get them more mobile traffic so they can benefit of all the incentives of getting their info to mobile viewers. To view the site of your iPod Touch Click Here.

Unfortunately it only appears to work in the US, I’m in Canada so Google auto switches .com for .ca (based I guess on my ISP location) and hence it does not show the new interface. Sigh.

To change this, go to news.google.com, then click on the link in the top left hand corner saying “web” (instead of news). This should get you to the customised Google page. You can then bookmark this page.
