New iPod Touch Revealed by Case Manufacturers?

Apple used to be famous for keeping its products bery secret until the official launch. However, lately that have not been doing suck a good job. Most of this un approved publicity is from case designs released onto the web.

This first happened with the 3G iPhone, which revealed the tapered design and the addition of the few more sensors. This time the potential leak was aimed at the iPod Touch and the iPod Nano. These cases look legit, as Apple is known to send out product details to some case manufacturers so they can have a product out on the market when the device is released.
The iPod Touch case has a new cut out part on the top right of the device. Many think this is for the light sensor to extend the functionality of the sensor. September 9th (Suspected Keynote Day) is just around the corner and we will be sure to keep you updated as the information comes in.

Looks like a space for a camera flash to me, or a microphone.
I’m with you on the mic Dave. Bailey is usually way off base with his guesses.
i’d say the new hole is for a built in speaker. although inside the case, the cardboard cutout of the ipod touch has the older dock on it. (the new one is all grey) you’d think by now they would have updated that. suspisions that it could be fake………
However, lately that have not been doing “suck” a good job. Please double-check next time
:D
“suck a good job”
That sentence can be interpreted in far too many ways… *shudder*
