Now it is possible to stream music from your iPod Touch to your computer

Yes it is true, now you can walk into your or your friend’s home or office and get a Mac computer to play the songs that your have on your Touch on his big computer speakers through iTunes.

To do this, navigate to http://mike.home.tl/iphone using Safari on your iPod. This will install a new app source into the Installer.app. Or you can run Installer and add this url to the sources tab. This will make “Firefly” appear on the list of installable objects. Now install and run Firefly (give it about 5-10 minutes to build your database). The length of this will depend on the amount of songs in your library.
And that is it… However, make sure iTunes that you want to play from has enabled Library Sharing and has wi-fi. (Also make sure the firewall on the Mac allows communication). Now your iPod’s music will appear on any iTunes library you come within range of. *If it asks for a password, just put “dottie”.

Dylan, the link doesnt work mate. It says Not Found. The requested URL is not found on this server. Any Ideas?
Yes i am now aware of this and will find the real link. Thanks for the info
does it work when you try it on your iPhone or iPod Touch?
No it does not work on the iPod either I’m still trying to find a good link.
Hey,
This link works fine. What is does is redirects you to /beta/ so what you need to do is go into Installer.app and under sources add http://home.mike.tl/iphone as a source. Then, refresh the sources. The next step is to look under all packages and you will see one there for FireFly.
I hope this helps…and it works GREAT!

P.S. Don’t forget the password: dottie
main script execution failed! Am I doing something wrong when I click install on firefly? Need help guys ollie
When is this gonna be available on Windows?
link doesnt work. even when i put it in sources, firefly doesnt show up.
It took my a few minutes.
Try turning the iPod COMPLETELY off. (You know until the red slider pops up)
And as for the “Main Script Failed!” I got that a whole lot. There may not be enough space on the partitioned portion of the drive that has the OS on it. Try deleting some things (ROMs, progs, ect.) If you have a LOT of music it takes a longer time and makes a larger file to record all of your Library.
