It seems even Steve Jobs - never knowingly accused of under-appreciating his company’s products - may have underestimated the lure of the iPod Touch.  A recent survey at New York University found that a full 20-percent of students questioned would give up their right to vote at the next presidential election in return for, you guessed it, a shiny new iPod Touch.

Thankfully those students were in the minority; however, a shocking 50-percent said they’d permanently give up their right to vote in return for $1m, while 66-percent would give up their next vote for free NYU tuition.

Nonetheless, only 10-percent of those questioned said they believed voting was “not important”.
