Possible iPod Touch price reduction imminent in Canada?
Posted on November 6th, 2007 in Apple, iPod Touch, rumor |
Glitch or sign of a price-cut to come? Canadian Apple fans have long complained about the difference in price they pay compared to Americans across the border, but according to the official Apple Canada site you can pick up an iPod Touch “starting at $299 [Canadian]“. Click through to the order page, however, and the 8GB and 16GB models are down at $329 and $449 respectively.

It’s likely that they’ve simply used the same image - complete with price - as on the US version of the site, although while both images have the same filename they’re stored in different directories, but Canadian residents will no doubt be hoping that it’s actually a sign of the coveted PMP coming down in price to bring it better in line with pricing elsewhere.

Its just humun error (note irony there). They simply used the same image as the US site. They wouldn’t lower the price this soon after launch, and if they did it would probably be worldwide, not just in Canada. A UK price cut would be nice though…
