Seeqpod On iPod touch and iPhone
Posted on November 9th, 2007 in Apple, firmware, hack, jailbreak, third-party software |
Seeqpod is by far the coolest and most useful web application usable by Safari on both the iPod touch and iPhone. Seeqpod is an application that lists music by popular searches from open web servers it finds. Not sure about the legality of this, but it’s definitely a great web application.

The application lets you search for artists or tracks of your choice, or will let you chose from popular artists and playlists. The popular artists section gives a nice current list of artists, most of them you will know who they are.
After you find the song you want, it will open a Quicktime window in Safari and apparently it will play either MP3’s and video files through the browser. I’ve never noticed Quicktime built into Safari! The loading of MP3’s through Seeqpod can be slow on EDGE, but ridiculously fast over Wi-Fi depending on the host’s connection. Lets hope this web application doesn’t get taken down.

hey. I hope that you get a chance to read this. Seeqpod does not work on my iPod touch. Jailbroken 1.1.4. Am I suppose to upgrade the firmware or is seeqpod still under maintenance.
I have the same problem as Oscar and its really frustrating. I would like to know if there’s something I could do to fix this
you have to stream it off the internet with a connection.. meaning its legal and quite shitty.
there are programs that use seeqpods service (not shitty app) to download the music to your ipod
