Apple usually releases a refreshed iPod line in early to mid September. This year we might have a glimpse at the future with the products that might be released. The famous iPod Nano is getting a significant re-design and the touch is thought to have some “Small cosmetic changes” and it will be the first device to receive the 2.1 software update.

2.1 was announced to fix the major 3rd party app crashing on start up bug as well with some other major fixes as well. The 2.1 software is most likely delayed for the iPhone because of the majority of features that are iPhone specific, i.e. possible turn by turn navigation.

The new iPod Nano (Pictured Above) has a very interesting re-design that is similar to the Zune Player. This change was said to be because it would be the only way to make the Nano have a bigger screen.

What do you think about the changes? Do you like/dislike them? Let us know in the comments.
