In a dream crushing reality check, it turns out the Apple Store slip up that led some to believe an 80 and 160GB iPod Touch might be coming has been quashed. It never fails, they always take away all our hopes.

The slip up came in the sales page of an iPod Touch case where it said the case fit the 80 and 160 gigabyte iPod Touch models. Clearly they meant to remove the zeros, their bad.

It would have been nice to see them release an iPod Touch with those capacities, but I just don’t think it could perform as well as the flash based models. Sure you could make an 80 and 160 GB flash based model, but the huge loan you would have to take out to purchase it would definitely keep sales down.
