I’ve always known that the screen on the iPhone is super scratch resistance, and thank goodness the iPod touch inherited a similar resilient screen. To prove it, Mitchell from GearDiary wanted to know if the iPod touch would scratch easily.

My dear friends, this video isn’t intended for anyone with a weak heart. There were moments where I had to turn my head and wanted to shed a tear or two. You should take a deep breath before clicking over to watch the video.
In Mitchell’s very own words, “I made a little music video involving a Touch and several items you would likely hide from any other device with a screen.”

And what about the back? My 4G and 5G iPods weren’t really scratch resistent on the back .. :/ What about the iPod touch? Is it the same material and will I need some kind of case or so in order to prevent it from scratches? Or is it at scratch resistent as the screen?
Phil, the Touch’s back is the same shiny chrome as most iPods. You can buy clear, correctly cut, protective shields that easily stick on over the back, if scratches worry you.
That was AMAZING! Thank you for posting this video!
