Apple is now preparing significant changes to the iPod Nano, Classic and iPod Touch lines. Now there is speculation of an updated nano that is lower in price. This is bring down Apple’s profit margin but it will hope to maintain or improve on growing iPod sales shares.

Back in the 1990’s Apple’s Newton handheld device had a very high tech handwriting recognition system. When the Newton officially died, the handwriting recognition system went with it. Last month many rumors were going around that the iPhone and iPod Touch would get a price drop. However, instead the iPod Touch got a 32 GB flavor, and the iPhone got a 16 Gb size bump. At the time it was very unlikely for a price drop because of the bump in capacity sizes.
