Apple used to be famous for keeping its products bery secret until the official launch. However, lately that have not been doing suck a good job. Most of this un approved publicity is from case designs released onto the web.
WidCharge products offer up a new unique way to charge your devices. They consist of metal dots on the backside of the device where the battery is located, and when those plates touch the charging pad the device begins to charge wirelessly.

Looks like the SIP-VoIP team over at touchmods.net have been busy. Last we heard, v.1 of the software that allows the iPod Touch to be used as a VoIP phone via its WiFi connection had launched, and the guys were busy putting together microphone schematics and parts lists. Now, there’s a pretty healthy list of 25 compatible SIP-based VoIP services - including the popular Gizmo Project and Asterisk - and they’ve just sold out of their first batch of 1200 microphone adaptors, priced at $45 a pop.
Resembling a pulpit for your iPod Touch to preach the Good Word of Apple from, this is in fact the Bird-Electron EX-18B, a speaker-stand for your favorite PMP. Connecting via the headphone socket, the 7cm-high unit has a single, 60mm “full-range” speaker in the base section, and is marketed as the ideal way to watch movies on your Touch.
With a design leaf seemingly taken out of Bose’s book, only embracing the iPod Touch (and its siblings), iLuv’s i255 might have a daft name but it’s certainly not short of functionality. Not only is there a dock compatible with the iPod Touch, iPod classic (80GB, 160GB), iPod Nano 3rd Gen and iPod with video (30GB, 60GB, 80GB), but a DVD player too.
Alright folks, it’s time to clean out my small review sample coffers, I have 4 cases, a Speck Cases Armor Skin, a Speck Cases TechStyle Classic, an OtterBox Armor case, and a Belkin Leather Folio, and I am giving all of them away. They ship out Monday the 12/24/2007 at noon, by which time the competition will be over.
Among the many cases I got in the mail today, I got this one as well, its from Speck Products, and is called the TechStyle Classic case. Essentially it’s a pouch type case that has an open front and a belt clip.
So I got this case in today with a bunch of others, and I had been sort of wanting one of these for a while, and then I got it, and it looked even nicer than it does in the product image. Even better yet, my concerns of still needing a screen protector even with this were alleviated by the fact that it comes with one that’s the perfect size for the screen.
