When Apple signed a deal with Google about putting a special app on their new hot devices they both knew it would be great business for both of them. So Google jumped in on the deal. Well they have now reported it has been a great success and is most likely bringing in many more members on the site.

iPod Touch Wifi

The YouTube app works amazingly well on the iPod Touch and will give anyone with a wi-fi connection the opportunity to view thousands of videos. From the start there have been  some videos that do not appear in the search section of the app as their codec is yet to be upgraded, but YouTube continue to assure users that they’re working through the back catalogue.

There is also a rumor that Google is developing an advertising plan for use on devices such as the touch. This will bring in more companies to sponsor videos on YouTube and then lead to further development of the player. So altogether both companies benefit of this deal and we can definitely expect to see apps like this on many other devices.
